Jar of Dice on Warehouse 13?
Alright, so here’s the deal. I’m currently going through the episodes I missed of Syfy’s Warehouse 13 and catching up with the show. For those who don’t know, it’s about a group of agents whose job it is to go around the world finding artifacts to put in a Warehouse for protection and storage. A magical poker chip that allows people to see the future, Studio 54′s disco ball, Lewis Carroll’s mirror, etc. In the warehouse, there’s the “black room,” where they keep particularly fussy artifacts in a permanent mist of neutralizer in order to keep them from acting up, that’s where the above screengrab comes from. I’m not interested in Sylvia Plath’s typewriter in the middle of the screen, I’m interested in what appears at the bottom left.
To me, that certainly looks like a jar of dice. It could be jelly beans or something else, but with all of the nerd and geek culture jokes on the show I wouldn’t be surprised if that is, indeed, a jar of dice. Now, the important question: why are there there? The obvious answer would be something with Gary Gygax, but I can’t figure it out. Any ideas?

Randolpho says:
I think it looks more like a jar of marbles, but the idea of Gygax’s Dice sounds cool.
It should be in a leather bag, though. Gygax’s Bag o’ Dice.
Power: the person who owns the bag is compelled to roll a die before attempting any action. The result of the die affects the outcome of the action.
“I am — — happy to see you!”

That’s hilarious. I’ve been watching the series since the first episode and I totally missed it! Certainly could be dice… Would be nice if someone from the show could chime in.
