Premade Campaign 14: Battle of the Colossus

Battle of the Colossus is intended for Epic Level Characters and is Part Three in a Three Part series.
In the Paragon section of this series, the party tried to stop Linx from destroying cities for their resources, and eventually found that he was using the stone, steel and dirt that he collected to smelt giant body parts for an unknown reason. Eventually they found themselves fighting a self-repairing Warforged, nearly 20 feet in height. It’s destruction was bittersweet, for when it had finally fallen the party was able to deduct that it was simply a prototype for a larger version.
A much larger version.
Now the race is on, and the choice is theirs. What will the party due when faced with the threat of a colossal construct, controlled by a maniacal madman?
There are several paths this campaign can take, each having very different outcomes and sessions. A few options are below, but feel free to allow for your party to do whatever it is they want with their Epic, powerful characters. However, there are a few paths you can push them towards, including the following:
01-40: The party can attempt to stop the construct’s construction. They will need to locate and destroy several very well guarded depots that are being used as storage facilities for some of the materials. Each one should have one large bodypart, magically sealed to the area. If you want there to be more of these, break the bodyparts into even smaller sections to have the players taking two or three out per part for even more fun crawling. They should also take out Linx (the real one, not a robotic doppelganger) who is being protected by several of the Warforged Prototypes from earlier in the campaign.
41-70: Why not fight fire with fire, and take the powerful, magic construct pieces and get someone to assemble them into their own monster to battle Linx’s. Either using pieces they have found or building their own, the party can attempt to recreate the ending of Ghostbusters by making a colossal construct. With the help of Rossum, they can make whatever they want, but will need to travel far across the world to find all of the pieces they want. The battle doesn’t even need to take place too far out of 4E rules, just let the players create it and simulate the fight or let them roll for a colossus with whatever stats they decide to make it with. Balance it, but this could be a fun fight.
71-100: The characters can try and take out the Colossus by destroying it, and to do this they will need to attain better weapons, fulfill their epic destiny, and get as powerful as they possibly can. If the players have enjoyed dungeon crawling more than anything else in the campaign, let them delve into ancient ruins, battle fearsome dragons, and take on extraordinary quests in a typical, yet epic final grind towards godhood. At the end the party can battle Linx, followed by the Colossus he created.
Be sure to come back tomorrow for another Heroic Premade Campaign!
